… well, at least some of them ….
GBC say that over 6,000 residents, businesses, community groups and stakeholders responded to the public consultation about the Draft Local Plan in June-July 2016. They have now published the 32,174 comments online, so anyone can view and search through them.
You can find them on the GBC Local Plan consultation website. It has been noted however, that this does not include all the objections raised, and some people have had their comments ‘pruned’.
GBC now intend to submit the next version of the Local Plan to the Planning Inspector in December 2017.
However, the next version will get only ‘targeted’ public consultation, which will focus just on the proposed changes to the Draft Local Plan. (Changes from what? you may ask – the whole plan is changes!) The comments received on this limited consultation will be submitted to the Planning Inspector with the latest set of comments.
GBC say “All comments received in last year’s regulation 19 consultation about any unchanged aspects of the plan will remain valid, and will not be subject to further consultation.”
We will be scrutinising this closely to ensure that comments are not ‘lost’ on the way due to technicalities, but we’ll need your support again. The limited consultation period is six weeks from 12 June 2017, so put that date in your diaries.
